Ankle Weights

We discovered a new tool - ankle weights. I put a one pound ankle weight on Anna's right leg every morning after breakfast for about a half hour. I just started doing it yesterday so I will keep you posted on whether or not it helps to strengthen her leg. I think I may need to put one on her left leg once in awhile as well since she still cannot walk up stairs - she still climbs them. I think balance also plays a part in not being able to walk up the stairs, which is why we recently built her a balance beam. I'm hoping the combination will speed things up as playground weather is coming and even though she still manages her way to the top of the playground by crawling, I'd like to see her progress to walking up the playground stairs - a lot less laundry! Not to mention a lot less getting trampled on!
