Your Comments - Thank you!

I want to thank the handful of people who have visited my blog so far and taken the time to post their comments. Someone from South Africa posted this morning! I was so excited. Please come back and visit and post often. Tell me where you're from, what brought you to our blog and a little bit about your family. I'd love to find some pen pals (I guess, email pals is more accurate nowadays!) so feel free to leave your email addresses and names so we can keep in touch.

Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you!

Hi Vicki,

I am currently catching up on all of my Hemi-kids digests from the past month and a half and stumbled upon your blog about Anna.

I believe you and I are very similar in nature in trying to spread the word about "Childhood Stroke" and trying to help share the experience with other parents. I, too, was left clueless with the diagnosis of CP as a result of an inutero stroke for my precious baby boy. I was basically told the same thing you were told, it was as if my child had just broken his arm and that he would heal...don't you fret. Here we are almost a year later and I am still struggling with doctors and medical professionals as I am trying to be the best advocate my son deserves! I would like to share Brendon's website with you and invite you to take a peak and maybe we can join efforts in spreading the word that CHILDREN DO and can suffer a STROKE and there is not a manual to cover what you can do once you get the news. I too have spent many many many hours feeling guilty about Brendon's diagnosis when deep in my heart I did everything I was supposed to do and then some while I was pregnant...shoot I even quit chewing gum with aspartame in it because I read there was not enough research to know whether or not it causes any residual effects in unborn children. So here is our link and I will enjoy reading about your special journey with your beautiful child.
